A couple of days later, after he left, I plugged my Watcom tablet back in, put the retouch pen in the holder and the Watcom mouse on top of the pad (I normally use a PS2 mouse for retouch work). I don’t think the Watcom tablet was plugged in when I used Photoshop last, showing my son some of the things you can do in Photoshop. I had loaned my Watcom tablet to my son so he could use it as a mouse (the tablet comes with both pen and mouse) with his laptop.
WHY IS MY CLONE STAMP TOOL NOT WORKING PC
It was the next day when I loaded Photoshop CS2 onto the new system but had to have live teck support from Adobe to transfer the license from the old PC to the new one. I loaded the new XP operationg system, and immediately started loading all the other sofware as well. Thirteen days ago, I bought all the parts to put together a 3.0 GHZ P4 system.
WHY IS MY CLONE STAMP TOOL NOT WORKING SERIES
So in essence, it would seem that the Watcom tablet does interfer with Photoshop functions.įor those who read this, it may be helpful to understand the whole series of events. I unplugged it, opened up Photoshop, opened up an image, clicked the clone tool, and actually saw the cloning action take place. I did have a Watcom 4X5 retouch tablet plugged in. It would seem that John may have hit it on the nose.Īfter coming home from work, I read the postings. The panic level has gone from Red to Green. What’s additionally agravating is that Adobe wants money to even contact them by email to tell them there is a major problem.
Photoshop’s HELP tab is even more useless.
WHY IS MY CLONE STAMP TOOL NOT WORKING REGISTRATION
I registered my Photoshop CS2 software more than 6 months ago, and transfered (via a live phone conversation) my registration to a new PC about 10 days ago.Ī search of the internet about Clone problems turns up only a handful of articles and most provide very little useful information or options to try. It’s almost as though Adobe disabled half of the CS2 options. An ‘add programs’ Repair, and a uninstall/re-install of the software software have no affect. There doesn’t appear to be any option to Restore Defaults in Photoshop. Aligned and Sample All Layers boxes are checked. For Instance, the History indicates that cloning took place but the image is unaffected. Today none of the Clone, Dodge/Burn, Paint options (ones that use a ‘brush’ type of tool) work. if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong let me know.Yesterday, I was able to work with all the Photoshop CS2 retouch capibilities.
it works though I feel silly needing to do this. so I just scaled up the UV shell I was going to use in the 1:1 and moved the others to the side. deleting the faces of the cube didn't work so I delete the UVs I didn't need which almost worked but the clone tool painted a smudged version. When I was importing different shapes I found that the cube worked fine.
Using different layers types (fill and normal) Messing with pass through (since originally I wanted to clone multiple texture maps) I've tried to keep my project as simple as possible by just importing a 1:1 uvmapped plane(created in maya) and using the default base layer.Ĭhanging the planes scale in maya before fbx export. so far I've only been able to get it to work when I increase the brush size to 36.78, 36.77 and lower wont work. I've been trying to use the clone tool but I can't figure it out.
